I just wrapped up a pair of Pintail, Widgeon, and a drake gadwall for my decoy painting reference. Since it's January and the ducks are just about as pretty as they get I need a little help getting some species that I probably won't run into for the rest of the season.

So...Someone save me a pair of green and bluewinged teal if the spirit moves you.

I've cleared some freezer space, and just got a fresh case of cork.

before the season is over....they're in great shape right now...I'll save you a pair...

If nop one else comes through on the Bluewings I have a gorgeous drake, (but no hen), that I can add to the package....

Steve! Are you home now? And Dave, I think I have a GWT hen in the freezer if you need one.

Do either one of you have the teal you mentioned available?

I have 16 teal cut out and will probably do most of them as GWT. maybe 4 or 5 BWT.

Any cadavers you can send would be great.

Sorry Dave, your checks are no good around here and for that matter....neither is your cash. It's the least I can do for letting me hunt (make that...shoot!) over Woodrow.

BTW I have never seen one here in the Applegate Valley before, but yesterday as I went by my pond on the ATV I had an absolutely georgeous drake Pintail with a huge post-seaon tail that had to be 7+ inches long, get up with a pair of mallards and a pair of woody's. Where the hell was he the last few days of the season?????

It's so funny, my pair of resident honkers see me coming and they just swin away if they are on the pond and if they are on the ground, they just lay down as flat as they can get and lay their heads on the ground too...........give me another month and I'll be able to walk right up to them.

I'll get that hen GWT in the mail to you when I go to town in the morning.

Pintails are something else aren't they?

I don't know what is considered long for a Sprig, but I shot one who's tail measured 9.5in. He was too beat up or he would have been on the wall.
