New guy introducktion

Hey Guys,

Been lurking here for a while. I'm new to duck hunting. I live on Cape Cod. Started sea ducks last year and now I'm hooked. Got a small 16' skiff with a 25 Merc and me and a buddy get out several morning s a week now. Still a hack novice but we are getting them pretty good so far this season. Hope to learn more here.

Good to hear you're having a blast. I live in CT, but have hunted the cape on a regular basis for 30-some years. Our group of buddies have a now 3rd annual hunt on the cape the second week of January. I keep a boat and rig on the cape and will be out there either Thanksgiving or the following weekend, if you're interested in meeting let me know. It's obvious you are a seasoned waterman, but I might be able to steer you in the right direction to get on some birds. If there's one thing I would suggest for seaducks, get a bigger boat than a 16'er. My rule is there should never be anything swimming around larger than the boat. Especially if they have big teeth. ;-)

Terry, great to see you on here! Lots of good guys on here. Had the pleasure of fishing with you a couple years back. Was losing it as we were running over thousands of eiders out past the tip. Glad you got into it. Your in one of the best seaduck areas in the northeast. Be happy to help with any rigging ideas, decoys, whatever etc....

Hey Mark! Good times, I remeber that day well. Had to run a bit to find them but we did! Not sure the skiff can hunt that big water but we have a few places that have REALLY been producing. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Welcome aboard!
Share some fishing pics too!

For anyone that like tuna fishing this is a short video of what we do when we are not hunting. This is how Mark got those 2 tuna shown above. Topwater tuna is as exciting as having a flock of 100 ducks go feet down in the decoys all at once ;)
