After much fiddling and wasting of time and money with a 34 year old Evinrude, I finally bit the bullet and bought a new Nissan 3.5 hp 4-stroke for my Sport Boat... Boy am I pleased. I had it out on the maiden voyage today and she started right up and ran like a charm - I can only run at half-throttle during the 10 hour break in and she got the sport boat and two guys up on plane at half throttle - very nice indeed. FYI - The Tohatsu is the same motor, but a few bucks cheaper for some reason. Motor weighs about 45 lbs, internal .25 gal tank (sips fuel), neutral and forward, adjustable throttle on the tiller. I am pleased and bet you would be too if you're in the market for a quiet economical motor. She appears built to last. They also make a 2 hp and a 4hp. Good hunting, Alec
