8 weeks old today, we have had him for a week. He should make a great hunting partner for both Cruiser and I.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who's played with Beanie Babies.

That's a good looking pup- hope to see some pictures of him in the field this fall!
 
awesome lookin pup, we all know what you will be doing ALL SUMMER now! I love the #2 pic CRAZY eyes reminds me of my rtard Gordy hes now almost 16 months old and STILL has that look sometimes.

Thanks everybody. The last two nights have been great as he has slept to 6:30 which is perfect. Crate training is going well and bathroom accidents are limited to foolish mistakes on our part. He is very curious and independent. I hope those don't become discipline problems later on. The tying to a door knob during making dinner has him very well behaved on the leash already and his birdy-ness is starting to show. My older dog Cruiser, loves this guy. I hope that doesn't change. They are both going to be intact males. Right now Cruiser just loves him to death.

As for the breeding, the dam was AKC Fly' N' South's The Trinity who came from a lot of Candlewoods lines (Super tanker, Nellie B Good, Tank em by suprise etc) with the sire coming from http://www.nfcdrake.com Tee was bread in the US and then bought by a local breader near Saskatoon. We where a little worried about CNM as the parents where not tested at the time and Super Tanker is a known carrier. Our pup also tested positive for being a carrier only of the gene. Thankfully none of the other puppies where effected.
