3-4 inches in much of Maine, with a few higher hotspots. I was just down in Mass on the north shore and there was a lot more rain down there.
Sadly, the headwaters of the major rivers in western Maine got next to nothing. Those rivers are looking at record drought conditions with no end in sight.
I was in Greenville last week and returned to CT yesterday. My guess is only an inch or slightly more fell. As you said, river and lake levels are really low. The silver lining is the grouse population, the birds near our place are already on brood #2 for the season. Should be another big crop come late September. And the mayfly (hexagenia) hatch was awesome, the trout got fat the last couple weeks.
