O Lord, the sea is so big and my boat so small...

Up at 5:00, launch boat, motor runs perfect (after a $250 repair bill from the mechanic, sticky float due to ice, plastic tanks and whatnot...causing two cancelled hunts)

crash through a bunch of 3 foot waves and a few lots bigger, cuss the weatherman/NOAA for the wrong wind forecast (it's tough out here with a south wind, waves get to roll up for 12 miles before they hit the shallow coast and make trouble for duck hunters), forgive my gunning buddy for leaving his coat and cell phone on the kitchen counter, set up the layout boat and 6 dozen decoys.

See 1 canvasback, 20 buffleheads, and 5 scaup.

Shoot 1 juvie lesser scaup and one drake bufflehead. Hans gets an easy retrieve. Pick up everything and head back to the office. Did my Christmas camera arrive yet? No...

Same as Andrew's, Dave! Devlin Snow Goose.

It wasn't that bad this morning, I just saw that picture of my little dog looking east towards Portugal and thought he looked a little forlorn. We didn't pack enough sandwiches for a transatlantic.

I will look into the website you mentioned. We get weather on the truck radio and NOAA and Coast Guard alerts on the VHF. The wind has been doing cartwheels down here, probably the same for you. South wind in Block Island Sound is no fun either.

Hunted two weekends ago with the Nor'east Boyz in the Bay. Had a lot of fun. Looking forward to meeting you and Andrew.

Cheers,
Dave

I am sorry Dave I did not put the two together , The Snow goose is a fine boat and would handle alot of water , just ask Andrew. Are you from Conn. ? We really need to get together and hunt this year , it would be a blast to get 2 Snow gooses and the Cackler out there and get some action photos with them . I saw the Noreasy Boyz last week at the DU meeting, great group of guys , there only problem is that they do not put alot of time into there hunting , HAHAHAHA . Take care stay in touch we will get hunt together real soon .
