Went down to Gloucester Point Sunday to make a run out to the blind. Still had some chairs and a trash bag I wanted to pick up before the Osprey built there nest on the roof.

Found an older couple whos trailer had buckled when the post holding the winch broke at the weld. The boat was a 16 foot Carolina skiff with a center consol and a 25 hp 4stroke Yamaha.

Aafter I used my rachet straps to pull the bow down so we could get the skeg off the ground, we launched the boat and they returned it to their property nearby. The trailer was going back to the dealer in Richmond. I checked the GVRW on the trailer. It was only 619 lbs.

And the Osprey ahve already built their nest.

Thumbs up to you for helping them out and not just walkin away, to many folks these days scared to help people out. Last year Denise and I got back to the ramp and there was a guy there with a nice new xpress bass boat and trailer and the boat had not been tied down for the last 10 miles and hit a bump and up on the fender it went crushing the fender to the tire. Well we helped him right it back on the trailer and then used soem proper tools (large wrenches and itre iron) to do some custome body work to that perty red trailer. It was ugly but would allow him to get home again.
Thanks for sharin that fellas pain lol

I don't mind helpin at all. Lord Knows I been there from time to time. What got me is, they didn't seem to be "tenderfeet" with the boat. I think somebody really sold em a bill of goods. I wouldn't put my sneakbox on that trailer. The demensions were right, just cheap materials and construction.

No pics yet. I actually put the camera back into the truck befor we leftthe dock. Osprey and Buffleheads are how we tell the seasons here. May try to get some pics of them later in the summer.
