Pics from St Michaels in Maryland

Cool. I need one of each kind of boat. Guys must have been some kind of tough in the old days before neoprene chest waders to sit in a sinkbox all day with their wet wool pants and wet leather gloves. No Mr Heater for them!

I read a book titled "Outlaw Gunner" on the drive back. It tells the story of these guys, known as the Watermen, back at the time of Market Hunting. The stories of paddling around the Bay in a 14 foot boat at night, in the cold, locating flocks of birds by sound, using a kerosene lamp on the front to disorent the birds, and cutting loose with 1 and 1/2 pounds of shot. All while dodging the law. Pretty tough guys for sure.

Maybe a steel buck with a few inches of sand in the bottom and then a #10 tin can with holes punched in the sides near the bottom for airflow for the charcoal to burn. The old school Heater Buddy.
That white sneak boat sure has a strong resemblance to a Sunfish shape.
