he loves his coot decoys- this is a project i can highly recomend to a dad- who does not carve- buy a few raw decoys- its amazing how jameson took to this project- he made them his own- and too see his artist side coming out was great- and Yukon Mike make a killer decoy!!!

Good Job Jameson, I think you will like hunting over these coots some day. Be sure to sign you name on them and put the date on them.
 
Holy cow that kid paints better than me! Great pictures Donald, and it sure is a good project. If anyone else is thinking about something like that keep in mind that Lou's E Allens are gorgeous decoys and not that expensive. I've had my own kids paint a few and they really enjoyed it. Even repainting plastics is fun for kids and dads.

That's awesome.

My twin boys will be 2.5 in May and I can't wait to do stuff like that with them.

My one boy loves bird hunting and comes running anytime it is on the tv. Videos are lethal as he sits by my side and doesn't move until it is over. He is hysterical saying quack, quack and flapping his arms like a duck. He laughs and claps everytime birds fall from the sky.

I just hope he still enjoys it when he is older.

Be careful. You might walk in the door one day and he hands you a Crowel or Wheeler decoy that he thought needed fresh paint. haha

Great pics. He's better with a brush than me.
