It made my local news on Friday and I'm half a country away. You can bet we will see that again.
How does a live duck get into the refrigerator to begin with? I can understand a duck alive for a little while without knowing it but a live duck feels different then a dead duck. At the very least the hunter should have felt the difference when it was put in there. I wonder if there will be a failure to quickly dispatch ticket in that hunters future, there should be. A stupid thing that should not happen...and sure shouldn't make the news if it does.

That just dumb all the way around. First he should have known it was alive. Second, who's wife would have taken it to a vet? Granted mine would have screamed bloody hell, but never would she have taken it somewhere. If she did, she won't be my wife anymore. LOL

Hey, I knew a fellow down in Louisiana who shot a real nice greenhead. No shot up feathers, bright end of season colors, red legs and all. So he decided to have it mounted and placed in his chest style freezer when he got home. His wife went out to get something out of the freezer and you guessed it. That greenhead attacked and cut her up pretty good. Then flew off. That was a cold house for a LONG time. Sure did drop the number of hunts he took for a long time.

Perky, the ring neck duck who survived being shot and spending two days in a hunter's refrigerator, has had another close brush with death.
The 1-pound female duck stopped breathing Saturday during surgery to repair gunshot damage to one wing, said Noni Beck of the Goose Creek Wildflife Sanctuary. Veterinarian David Hale Revived the brid by performaing CPR.
I have alot of questions on this one, starting with:
Who paid the vet bill?
How do you give CPR to a duck? Or why?
Did David get a little tongue action during the CPR? All right, I will stop there.
