Prayers for Sophie...

One of our dear brothers, Tim Speight shared some bad news yesterday regarding his female chocolate Lab Sophie. This is a heartbreaker as Sophie is one of my all time favorite Labs. Sophie is only 5 years old. Tim took her to the University of Illinois today. Please keep Sophie, Tim and his family in your thoughts and prayers...

"Got some bad news last week from the Vet.
Sophie has lymphoma. Untreated the prognosis is very poor. Average expectancy is 4 – 8 weeks from the diagnosis.
I’m taking her to the U of I tomorrow and hope to get her enrolled in a clinical trial of a new cancer treatment.

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks! Tim"
 
Tim, You and Sophie and your family have been in the Rutgers family's prayers since I read this and will continue to be. God Bless.

Pat,
My haley had what looked like Lymphoma,
but we now believe she had a tick born illness called erlichiosis(sp).
Hope Ira jumps on this one, but we were lucky and had almost two more years.......
Will cross our fingers and keep she and her family in our prayers.
