Run a little, make that a lot, of energy off your pup before attempting to assemble your field layout blind.

I was leaning over connecting a pin to assemble my layout blind, when my dog stuck her nose into the situation and decided to briskly bring her head up. Unfortunately, my face was in the direct path of her head. She laid me out for a 9 count.

Ouch! It hurts just playing 8n the living room. It really hurts when it 20 some degrees!

Ouch. I had a friend with a Mastiff/Great Dane cross rescue dog. It was enormous--more horse than dog sized. The first time I met the dog, I was warned to be careful and whatever I did not to lean over him. But he was a sweetie pie (really) and came over and sat at my feet so I leaned over to give him a pat and he leaped up in joy and smashed me forehead to forehead. It was like being headbutted by an NFL defensive lineman. I was literally laid out on the lawn--blacked out for a few seconds. The dog just stood over me and licked my face.
