Scored this a few weeks ago , and I'm in the process if getting it ready for my needs ,I patched up all the holes sanded down the repair spots and gave it a quick paint job , tomorrow I'll steelflex the hull

I see where guys are adding accessories like lights, flooring etc..but to be honest I don't want to add not one more pound of weight to it as I'm not getting any younger and I prefer to truck bed my boats

I'm debating getting the cover and door system, I talked to 4 rivers and they said if you get 1 get the doors and get the short door cause it will make driving it easier

Absolutely deadly on ducks, but you're right about the weight! I have to drag mine over the side of my 2472 Sea Ark and each duck season it gets a bit heavier, probably why I use a pirogue more now. LOL

I would suggest the short doors also. But you can make your own doors with conduit or aluminum tubing, bimini fittings, and plastic fencing. Lots of examples online if you do a search. I would also suggest you get some Blind Grass it is synthetic and does not rot, hold moisture, etc. Just add some lightweight plastic fencing to the layout and secure it down and then attach the blind grass. This combo will last you for years with little to none in maintenance. Also just throw a large sponge in the bottom of the layout boat. It is easy to use to remove water that accumulates in the bottom of the boat when you get in and out with your waders. I also had a kayak paddle for paddling and telescoping pole for poling to my spots. But a small outboard, trolling motor, or mud motor work well also. I never had any of the other stuff like lights, flooring, etc. Had a headlamp and Invisilounge seat. You grass this right your your surroundings and you will be invisible because of the low profile.

A buddy gave me a tiny 79cc (3hp) Harbor Freight mud motor to try on my Refuge Runner. My boys had a long paddle in to hunt so I towed them out afterwards. For safety reasons I'm only sitting on the bowline to the pirogue should things have gotten squirrelly.
