Plastic. He has hunted those same decoys, 25 to 30 days a season for 30 years. He owns some beautiful hand carved decoys that never leave his living room. I put a redhead and 3 ring necks face down in the spread before the golden light of sunrise made me case the A5 and grab the camera.

Old plastic decoys for the most part were very well made, and worked real good, even after ya plugged the shot holes. I owned a bunch, but gave most away before I moved. I'm not knockin' em, as for sure someday they will be collectible. I still own some favorites........G&H, and some others. Hey their ALL decoys, no matter what they are made of.

Those are some great pics, but I'm glad you shot your birds first!

I saw that photo last week...........HOW can that not be his Best Decoy??? It worked didn't it? We give ducks WAY to much credit for being smart. Flat black bleach bottles work just as well, as Clown Decoys, or taxidermy replicas. Where they want to BE, not where you want them to BE, is all that matters. Ya do good because you did your homework, not cuz of the Decoys....as you proved.
