River ox boats

Does anybody have any info or experience with them. I'm looking at I think a 15 or 16 footer. My understanding is they were produced by seaox. Seaox has a reputation for being good boats, the older ones at least. It's a sweet little rig but I'd like to know a bit more about it. Not much comes up on google.

Thanks

They are old. Back in the mid to late '70s they were the bombproof work boat. The government actually gave many away to the boat-people coming in from Vietnam so they could commercial fish...then ended up giving many of them away to others in need for the same purpose. I thought they were first River Ox and then grew to form Sea Ox. They were tanks and could handle big stump hits without issue. I had a buddy in high school whose dad bought him one after he kept tearing up their old paper thin johnboat. I don't ever remember him damaging that boat at all. You can still find them every now and then around coastal areas...crabbers and oyster harvesters liked them.
