no offense, but is that a spectacular feat in AL? i'm pretty sure they are mixed in with the 6 billion snows that are in AR every year.... just wondering...
year after year, more and more white are being killed in alabama. that being said, considering that the ross' migrate with them its only a matter of time before it happens.not an everyday occurrance anyway, congrats
Nice bird.
Never seen a Ross's down here in Mobile but we get a few lesser snow geese in the area every year. I had a shot at one a couple of years back, missed (them big old birds move a lot faster than they look!). A buddy of mine killed two that same year. Usually we'll have one or two family groups around, they get shot up pretty quick though.
4 years ago we had a pile (for here) of specklebellies 3 weeks before the season but they only stuck around a few days.
I just want to know why none of the 6 billion snow geese from the Atlantic flyway wouldn't stray into New Brunswick from Quebec. I have saw them about 6 hours away near Quebec City but you think that a west wind would send some of them off course? No. I was talking to my brother who lives in Southern Manitoba about an hours drive east of Winnipeg and he says that he gets a few on his property and if you drive a few miles then there are lots of them. But he says that they're not very good eating and the best way that he's had them was made into jerky.
