Sea duck mounts

Curious what folks have for sea duck mounts. I already have an old squaw flying, and I have two eider and a black scoter to go on the wall. They'll be in the stairwell, so likely flying mounts, but curious if anyone has some gems to share. When I look online in image searches they're all pretty lackluster. Though I do enjoy looking at the bad taxidermy.

Thanks all. I agree the diving mount is pretty slick. I drop off 6 birds to my taxidermist next weekend, we'll see what he thinks

I really like the dead mounted oldsquaw.

I was going to do that with my frozen Harlequin and Scoters etc.

Bird in the hand sort of notion for the display.

Hey Nick,

Dead mounts seem to be gaining in popularity although I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder.

Ryan Rhodes of North Rhode Taxidermy does a lot here in Maine.

Brad's Birds also has a nice gallery on his website.

Dead mounts are cool, but getting that loose, just killed, hanging look can be a challenge. Some dead mounts look like stiff, stuffed ducks with wires in their legs, necks and wings. If you decide to go the dead mount route, I would recommend asking to see examples of the taxidermist's dead mount work.View attachment IMG_0761.jpg

Some nice looking mounts. We have a new taxidermist in the area in Washington State that is a true artist on birds with a very creative imagination. I am getting ready to send him some birds to see what he can come up with. I have some harli's, barrow's GE, and old squaws to send him for mounting.
