I have been hunting twice this year and have not got a duck yet, haven't even shouldered my gun. A friend of mine shot 4 snow geese yesterday. I can't believe they are around already this year. anybody doing good around indiana?? I hunt mostly in Wabash. I have never had a season start off like this in my life, hope it gets better in soon.

Been pretty slow. We've wasted a couple of weeks of our duck season on absolutely nothing other than a quick woody flight every morning. I'd expect some birds to come down now though you are just far enough south that you may not see much. There were a handful of snows around here in September...actually several in late August believe it or not. Kankakee FWA has been holding 400 to 500 over the past few weeks. It sure would be cool if they'd shift a little east and give us some additional shooting opportunities. From one Wabash boy to another....if I were you I'd search out those coves on Salamonie that are full of oak trees and beat up on the woodies!
