So I opened a Fed Ex tube the other afternoon and pulled out a defrosted GWT drake that Steve sent me to keep for carving/painting reference. Then I try and figure out why such a long tube for one duck.

Ah HA...the SUPRISE.

So a I unwrap the next bird and HOLY SHIT. A DRAKE FREAKIN CLOWN DUCK. ARE YOU KIDDING.

Then I get to the note...Here you go, every good carver should have a harley for reference.

HA...leave it to a Polack to open the tube from the wrong end!!

So anyway, it turns out there are a few decent people in those blue states out there.

It's ok to be Jealous!!!!

Leave it to Steve to send you JUNK mail,haha! BTW I got your last email, all understood. I agree, just take some more pic's...no biggy.

Kewl...They are amazing looking birds. How the hell they came up with those colors and patterns is amazing.
 
That is cool! I took the chance to see them here at old Barny and they where like lake Ducks. was no more then 10 feet away watching them feed off the rocks. wish I had my Camera.

One of these years I would like to head back home, Southeast Alaska, when the season is open to collect a few and some other species. I remember growing up seeing them everywhere including the around the docks in the boat harbor floating a few yards away.
