It won't be much longer and the wee ones will be leaving our area for warmer climates. (Mexico and Central America)

A black-chinned female scraping the pollen off of her beak.

She also was exercising her tongue allot.

A male rufous.

Female rufous at the Mimosa tree. The blossoms have a very sweet fragrance.

Hey, it's dark in here!

This is the smallest bird in North America. The female Calliope measures about 2 1/2 inches long.

An adult male rufous scratching behind his right ear.

Al, the variety that you get amazes me. All I get to look at are Ruby Throats. Don't get me wrong, I love watching them, but a little spice would be nice. Trip.
