I am selling two of my custom doubles totally suitable for steel shot. The first is a LC Smith O Grade 10 bore that was re-barreled into a 3 inch 12 bore by Briley. The chokes are Mod. Mod. 30 inch barrels, 14 1/4 stock, weight 10 pounds 2 oz. $1600.00.
The second gun is a New Ithaca Double Super 10 bore (the 2 7/8 one). The New Ithaca Double, first made in 1926, are far better than the several other Ithaca models made before it. This gun has non-removable 3 inch 12 bore chamber inserts by Briley. The barrels are still 10 bore, 32 inch, parkerized. 14 inch stock, weight 9 1/2 pounds, Miller single trigger. Custom checkering on stock. $1800.00
I have shot countless steel loads in both guns. Zero problem. These old 10s make excellent 3 inch 12 bore guns due to their heavier frame to better hold up under the power of modern day shells. I am selling them because I recently purchased a rather costly English 3 inch 12 bore. Also a time in my life when it is time to start downsizing somewhat.
Both guns in very good condition. Photos available if one sends me an email address. Thanks, Worth Mathewson
