Welcome to the club.
On my Android pad and one computer I need to disable Google Privacy and Security in order to post. One of the Google updates makes it otherwise impossible to post on this site, probably because the site needs modernization. I think this is one of the problems Eric is hoping to rectify by updating the site.
Still working for me, both in this reply and a stand alone post just now.
What is probably happening is that in your browser you have a security protocol set to reject automatically if certain conditions are not met. I have gotten a message whenever I post for the last month or so about a privacy warning, but I can OK it and send it. And I'm sure this is about it being old software as is already written. If you are using robust protections on your browser, you can usually set them so it prompts you first, although that is not always the default setting.
