The actual getting ready for lacrosse post

So, are we having group meals or individual meals? My real question is... You're having communal meals we should arrange who's bringing what. I was going to bring a couple quarts of some kind of soup or stew.

I think communal meals would work great. We don't have that many people coming that it would be a burden on anyone.

For one dinner I will bring Elk or Moose burgers, buns, and fix'ins plus beans or something else to go with them.

I've also got meat and cheese for sandwiches.

I will be there Thurs afternoon, when is everyone else showing up?

I would assume that grilled duck is on the menu too, but that will depend on if y'all shoot straight!.

I'll bring some extra plates and plastic ware, paper towels. A dessert or two, some chips and or crackers. My kitchen facilities are a bit limited so my choices are limited too. I'll have some extra burger patties along too we can cook up if needed.
Weather conditions and temps may play a role in how many of us can gather together at a time. I'm not sure if we will have any available enclosed shelter space??? We may have to break up into smaller groups and invade a RV camper(s).

Temps should be pretty nice... Mid 50s for highs and lows around 40.

As far as kitchen space... I have an oven, 3 burners on top and a microwave.... If Tom brings the Taj Mahal... We will all be set!

I guess if it's communal then I need to know what's missing so I can bring it. The RV has a microwave and four gas burners, no oven, small frig, table seats 4 and coach sits 3 to 4. I'll arrive thursday afternoon. I'm leaving this afternoon to hunt Portage area so need to know what food to bring today.

If not maybe something for breakfast?

Powdered donuts and pepper jack cheese stuffed sausage dogs for breakfast!!!

I won't be there, but it sounds fun

If figured I would bring a pound of bacon and a dozen eggs..... I do have a fridge... so if it was not used... no big deal

There appears to be little chance you guys will starve to death, even if the birds (or the shooters) don't do their part.

Diabetics and those with heart conditions may be in trouble, as it appears the only veggies are a carrot casserole.

Thurs. afternoon for me and the lowly Scamper this time. Next year I'll plan a little better and bring the Taj Mahal. I will bring summer sausage, beer sticks and PIE, not homemade but PIE. Anything else?? Am getting pumped about this one, spent all day on the neglected Broadbill and the never used diver blocks.

Friday around 5:00-6:00pm??? for me. I plan to hunt in Iowa water unless somebody wants to commit to setting a couple sneak boats over one set of blocks and hunt together. I guess we can discuss options and if needed, I can run into Lacrosse to get an out of state lisc. Friday evening. I'll be bringing my sneakboat and a small batch of puddler decoys I can add to the mix.

Dave,

I've got 6 long lines of divers ready and see no issue with a double set. Mike can't make it so I'm available.

Carrot Casserole? At a red meat festival? Really? I'm afraid to ask about adult beverages lest someone says non alcoholic beer..

Check you man cards again and I'm sure you'll see the section that covers the
presence of green leafy vegetables, anything with a floret or a stem, steamed anything, and FOR SURE NO CARROT CASSEROLE are not acceptable a d in fact will be judged as being "in bad form"....

Corn is allowed when prepared as chips or tortillas and Potatoes mashed hashed or converted to vodka are acceptable "vegetables".

Note once again that CARROTS in any form, unless used as bait for wabbits, are not.

Carrot Casserole indeed...
