It's 10 degrees as I sit here watching the 40 years of SNL and enjoying the fireplace and a beverage. Lucy and I hope you all are couping with the weather.

-4 degrees in Douglas Ma. These days you need to just learn to go with the flow.. Its winter in New England
 
I hope spring is just around the corner for all of you that have been buried in snow.

Ran out of all my craft beers from celebrating a new job! ( with nothing to do i probably would have ran out anyway)

The weather is depressing and my carving station is in my unheated garage which right now is 2 degrees. Its negative 20 with windchill outside.

Cabin fever is setting in....
 
6 this morning in southern Jersey. Luckily all my work is inside right now. I feel bad for my framer buddies. Been there done that and it's not fun.
 
Ed, folks seem to forget, IT'S WINTER!!!! You want fewer seasons, move to Florida. I miss snow, BUT, we may get a winter fall tonight, through tomorrow--The pup should have fun in it.

We have not gotten the snow like Boston has - AND we have a place to put the 2 feet we do have on the ground.

I may have posted this earlier in the month. Filename says "12 below - Feb 3". Well, it was 12 below again this morning, but I've had the stove going all night so the windows in the shop are clear.

Thanks Al. Lucy is a good girl and can even sit for pictures sometimes. She was sleeping by the fireplace and I had to wake her up for this one.

29 below here in the lakes and windy, going back down to 20 something below tonight and stay cold for another few days. Good ice
 
I got a job here in Ct for a water quality/environmental laboratory as a field technician.

So it looks like dreams and vacations to flip flop land which is apparently washington, haha. Which is fine with me because western washington is in the top 3 places i want to live.

Youre so right about It's Winter! The flat lands are headed into yet another deep freeze here as well. In my area they are saying by Wednesday we'll be -7 to -10 with wind chills of -25 or so. Even the dog doesn't want to go outside.

After last winter, this one is pretty much a walk in the park - NOT. Reminds me of the Winters we had in the 1970's. When I'm not painting or carvin', I'm preparing for spring turkey (if they live through this winter) and trout fishin'. It's all good.
 
It's not that bad. Just running out of place to put the snow.
Hopefully the deep freeze doesn't freeze ontario or the niagara.
Last year some reports put the winter kill of bills at 300k- 60k being hens.

Man that's cold! I remember in 1996 the year I moved back to Illinois from Arkansas we had a record low of -29 actual temp. I had the windshield cleaner reservoir freeze and burst and a battery freeze and break a post. I'd never felt cold like that before. I don't ever remember another time it 's been that cold here.

Cold here--10 below this morning with about 35 mph of north wind--but we dodged the 2 feet of snow forecast for yesterday. Storm track shifted a bit. Southern and eastern Maine got the 2 feet. We got 2 inches and a bucket of wind.

Yes, it is cold ,when the wind blows it worse. i don't normally"do" wind chill but last night it felt like 70 below on top of Whiteface ,those poor snow makers

Just got back from visiting friends on Cape Cod. Impressive weather, with the wind and snow. We didn't make it to the coast when the winds were really ripping, kinda regret that, but it is tough to get excited about digging the truck out to see big waves when you can sit inside and drink and eat with good friends.
