Thomas Had A Nice Afternoon

Thomas, now 16, has started hunting without dear old dad. I had to work today and by the time I escaped the office he was on his way, solo. Hunting has been terribly slow so I wasn't fearful I'd miss out on anything spectacular.

WRONG! That rascal killed a limit on his very first hunt alone. He called me after it was over totally pumped up about his luck. I'm so thrilled for him.

I think Bama is the only place with birds right now lol.

I think Carl and Thomas are in cahoots

Nice shoot!!!

What could be better than having a ton of artistic talent besides being a duck hunter? Great pic. Hunting in flooded timber has to be wonderful.

That indeed was a good afternoon! Congratulations to Thomas. The Hudson River is by all sense of the word "DEAD". We have been out almost every day for the past week and nary a bird. I never remember such a dismal season. I'm enjoying his enjoyment, good to see someone having a decent day. I hope you guys have more good days ahead.

Like has been said already, looks like he had a great teacher and he paid attention!....congrats to Thomas on a great hunt!

I'd be worried that Dad may be left behind more often.

Congrats. Nice hunt.

Congratulations! What a wonderful hunt in so many ways!

...especially the way all of those birds fell and got wedged into the same tree....

All the best,
