Tide Apps

Hi folks.

Anybody got suggestions for apps that provide detailed tide information, both US and other North American locations?

Based on suggestions here, I have just downloaded Navionics, which has basic tide info, but I'm wondering if there is something that provides more detailed information--for example, predicting tides in complicated spots that do not have an official tide station.

I've got an April trip in the Bahamas for beach and bonefish, and would like something that will work for there.

Thanks.

Been searching for the same. Tired of making manual adjustments based on prior experiences only to have wind or low pressure throw a curve ball into the mix.

There has to be some sort of algorithm to figure out tides from the nearest station????

I use "tides near me free" app for Android. https://tidesnear.me/

Even though I live in Ohio, I travel to the East Coast and boat several times a year to hunt and fish. It has quite an extensive library of nearby locations. It also has a list of local currents, but I've never used that part.

While I cannot say exactly how accurate it is, it is accurate enough for anything I've done and I find it quite useful. AND it's FREE!

In trying to figure tides with tide charts especially here on the south Jersey Marshes, you have to really watch the tides. Take wind & full moons into considerations Or you can really get hung up on some of your hunting trips . We here in N.J. In our known favorite spots the tide is everything for puddle ducks . Lay out boat shooting for Divers the direction & velocity of the wind is what determines if we even go out at all, .
Fishing also applies to the above rules.

Jeez, guys, I was looking for some consensus! LOL.

I just saw that the USA/Canada Navionics app I got appears to have tide information (and charts) for the Bahamas. I'll check what that gives me against published tide charts for the same locations--perhaps I am good to go.

What I cannot figure out is the freshwater information from Navionics. It has detailed charts for some of the lakes and ponds I fish, including some incredibly small ones. One is an 8 acre pond, accessible by a 2 mile trailless hike. Based on my personal knowledge, the depth chart is pretty accurate--meaning that the one 4 foot deep hole is placed in the right spot.

Just next to it is a 5 mile long lake with three more or less formal boat launches that is one of the premier brook trout lakes in the north woods. It's been known as "the trout factoy" since I was 10, has a large commercial campground, borders a state park, and is heavily fished. It does not even appear on the map!
