If you have not already noticed the 2nd amendment of the United States Constitution is under attack by Barrack Obama and his most liberal supporters... I wish that was the only issue facing our country as we navigate the waters and fine line between democracy and socialism. We are at the most critical crossroads in our nation since the Civil War... It is time to remember the principles upon which our country was founded and do everything possible to make sure they are not lost in the "enabling society" that our president is determined to shove down our throats. Thank you Barrett for taking a stand. Please everyone search your souls and do the right thing... time is runnng out!
 
None of these bans are going to pass with the exception of stricter background checks and possibly magazine capacity.

In 6 months the dust will settle and all this will go away.

that is bull ...... i have at least fifty items that are illegle in ny state right now.
 
It is not the stricter background checks that concerns me as much as who/how is the information being defined that comes from the background check... it is unconstitutional and should not be allowed!
 
Don't count on this going away. Other states are trying to push similar laws, hoping to get Obamas favor. Call your reps and tell them how you feel.
 
Brian, you are probably correct...but the 2nd Amendment is VERY much under attack. We all need to make Washington understand that WE THE PEOPLE still exist and will not stand for our rights and freedoms to be taken from us. Otherwise, we will wake up one day... must sooner that I would like to admit... as we will no longer have have them.

I agree 100%, but the odds of a federal ban passing are very slim. State laws will always differ as they always have. Texas vs NJ, Georgia vs NY, etc. if you don't like the laws, taxes, etc in a particular state move to another one.

I am a gun owner, NRA member, etc so I am on that side of the fight. In my opinion I just don't see a federal ban passing.

You are simply wrong Brian. 5 years ago would you have even considered that you woudl be taxed if you didn't buy something?

As far as Fed ban - where did the last assault weapon ban come from - the Federal government. I very easily see a Fed ban and this is how it will work. Fed passes a ban or whatever law they want and then withhold money for roads, or schools, or something or another in the name of safety. You (States) pass this law or no money coming from Washington. Happes ALL the time.
