Well we are nearing the end of our duck season here in New Jersey and it has been pretty lackluster due to the weather. With the temps finally forecast to be more seasonal today with a stiff NW wind I was glad I had the day off from work. I went out in the morning alone and managed two canadas and went out in the afternoon with my dad and had a good shoot on puddlers with us taking 3 mallards, a wigeon, and a brant, all while missing a few more mallards and a black duck. We would have done better if we were shooting better (had a group of 6 mallards come in at less than 20 yards and only managed one!) but we didn't mind as we have not had many good days this season. Here is a picture of the take as well as a shot of some of the birds with some new E Allen mallards and wigeon decoys we got from dogsanddecoys.com
P.S. Tex how did you manage?
