I put together a duck call tutorial... most you guys are pretty salty callers... Maybe fwd it to a new hunter. Save them from embarrassment.

That's a good intro to duck calling. Not that I am a master or anything.......and I miss all of my dogs that are gone, but I leave the bowl out for my last one now too, as you noted a while back. It makes me happy to see it and helps me remember all of the good times with her and the others. And if in the mystery of life she comes back when I'm sleeping, she knows this will always be her home.
