Too cold!?!?!

Well the boys from down south didn't think so, and neither did the eider!

Hasn't been the warmest here the last few days. Despite getting a truck stuck and having to shovel a little snow, we had a couple real good days this past week.

Also had a cool decoy sent to me by a friend, Justin Harrison, he is doing a little project with 9 'traveling' decoys. Feel free to check out his blog for more info on that.

Hard to believe there is only one week left of the RI season.

Here's a few pics from the past couple days. Not the best light, but I worked with what I had!

Thanks.

Thanks for the pictures! I just wanted to say how much I enjoy all your photos. They make me feel like I'm there and wish I was.

This AM I drove by 2nd & 3rd Beach in Middletown RI with binoculars. There were eiders along the rocks at the surfers beach at 2nd Beach.

Took a drive to Colts Neck State Park this weekend. Saw a couple large rafts of ducks between the neck & downtown Bristol. Did not seem big enough to be eiders.

Field hunting on a pasture in Portsmouth on Saturday morning was fun. With white coveralls on seemed like the geese had no clue we were there.

Glad you enjoy the pics guys.

These shots were taken with a Canon 1 D Mark IIn, witha 100-400 lens. With a faster enough shutter speed you can 'stop' the shot. You just have to get lucky!
