Well I got one made up for a test then riped into some of the GOOD WOOD and got these 3. I purchaed 3 different styles of SR inserts a Knight and Hale style a Greg Keats and an unknown. I gave the 3 calls to Travis Weber today to tune them. I DONT BLOW A SR CALL but have had people ask for them. Travis is a heck of a good caller with one and has messed with them quite a bit. In about 4 minutes he had the Keats call sounding very good I thought.
Something new to try out to keep the boredom form setting in at least. heres a couple of pics. We will see what insert he likes the best and I am going to make a few of these when I have time. Still hackin up that pc of dark maple burl that stuff is VERY HARD!
3 calls all Dark Maple figured burl and 2 hedge and 1 paduk inserts. All caped in Copper to keep them sturdy and they wont split on us.

They are all about the same height similar shape body is 3" and inserts stick out about 2". 5/8 bore on the exhaust.
