Turkey Hunting Reference

We had a thread about "must have books for the duck hunter". Along the same lines, what books would you recommend to me as a mediocre (at best) turkey hutner looking to improve.

Thanks in advance

Hey Kris,

I'd try to connect up with an experienced turkey hunter. I'm also in the same boat, and sort of learning as I go. I'd love to find a mentor to show me the ropes, I think that is the best way to jump start things.

The NWTF site has some info, and I googled up a bunch more (one night trying to avoid my homework).

I'd really like to get one with the bow this year. We'll see...

Good luck. Turkey hunting is soooo much fun.

Get a copy of MD Johnsons book "successful turkey hunting". Amazon or Ebay would most likely be your best bet.

It's a great book with lots of how to info, not just a bunch of BS but good proven facts.
