im just curious ive finally got my boat situation settled I bought a 14.5 ft livingston with a 25 horse merc so im not building a main stay primary duck boat.
My question is has anyone built an uncle jhon pirouge from his kit i have zero wood working skills few tools and lots of good friends with both tools and skills (im a mechanic they owe me favors lol)im just curious what all you have seen or experianced with his kits i do not know how too post a link but it is easy too find with a google search.
Kit includes both end pieces and all the ribs i think it would be fun too build and net me a little lay out boat as well

From everything I've read about those kits it is very easy. All you need to supply is the plywood and the epoxy and your almost done in a weekend. No skills required.

I built an uncle Johns pirogue from his plans. If his kit is like his plans then it will be easy (well actually easier than whatI did). You really don't need to have many skills (which I didn't) and it'll turn out pretty good. It is a great boat! I love it. It rocks a bit, but I'm comfortable in rocking boats so it doesn't bother me. It could be done in a week or so...if you allow for all the drying time and if you use glass to cover the outside (which I did). A great boat!!! I can't wait to make another one!!

Myself and my son did a kit from Uncle Josh and it was Fun and easy .We made some changes to the boat ,coverd bow and stern for rainy storage .It was our first build and got me hooked !

Great first boat, easy and fast, it was my first try at building a boat worked great.
very good on the water, floats in inches, fast too
