WHAT Boat

Didn't see your post earlier on the weekend.

BB2 would not do well in a shallow water rivers since it has more displacement than a BB3. If you are by yourself then look at the small boats such as the blue bill or the broadbill. The blue bill will still work for two guys if they are on the smaller side. The broadbill is a one man boat from what I have seen posted over the years.

Thks for the reply. You got me going!!

Ordered the Mallard, and Broadbill plans tonight, I'm sure I will be back for help soon. Finished the last two days of the season w/limit of geese each day, waiting for o7

If you looking for somthing light no wood we have a 10ft that would be grate. but if you looking to make it good luck

Ron--Just a word of caution the mallard is more of a displacement hull rather than a planing hull due to the rocker. If you want a planing hull for two I would go with the bluebill with a 15 on it.-J

bbsb or ok at best to slow not good in most water "WOOD" heavy if the tide goes out you need a tow truck to get one off of sand. "Roy's low boat" 12ft is a little over 100lb with no motor! And there is one smaller

Sorry not tying to say there are anthing bad about bbsb it just people are so use to seeing them its grate that people like to make them and have pride in what thay have made, but im out to hunt

Its a 10ft low boat with a 15 run about 35mph its right at 100lbs. all glass no wood. one man boat. ask more tell me what your looking for

Looking for, a type of sneakboat for down steam hunting, lowprofile for a blind boat, we drift down into remote areas ,and we need away back upstream agains't the curent for 2-hunters ??????

you're looking at but my Bud <iles cedar Barnegat weighed 120 lbs CRATED FOR SHIPMENT...and that included the oars, the spray shield, the floor boards and the (2) hatch covers....

Since "a little over a 100 lbs" is "a little over a 100 lbs" regardless of the material I don't see the singularity of your particular "a little over a 100 lbs"...

I've seen pictures of the boat you have...neat boat, sweet looking on the water and a flat out "raped ape" at top end....run that boat where I run my barnegat and you'll be thumbing for a ride while you stand in your swamped boat....

Your boat I'm sure has application in some waters. Personally I'll take less speed for the increased ability to handle rough water of the more traditional Barnegat any day....

My .02....

Steve
