What happened to duck invader boats?

Anyone know what happened to duck invader? All their posts and pictures were removed from their Facebook page and no option to message them. I always liked their boats and went to look at the pics and they?re all gone.

Just curious?
 
Equally curious. I just asked Mike asid about this, who got one last year, and he didn't know either

I know four rivers layout boats has purchased their previous company (duck boss) I can not confirm but the rumor is that four rivers also bought duck invader and plan to offer 4 boat options total. From what I am told they will offer the DB10, DI13, DB15 and DB17. Again this is just rumors and I can?t confirm any of it but hope it?s true and that Rich is busy killing ducks instead of building boats. Great guy and a pleasure to deal with
 
As of September 2022, Duck Invader Boats sold to Broc Finney of Four Rivers Layout Boats in MO. He purchased the molds / rights from Tom Ayers formally of Duck Wrangler & Wrangler. Four Rivers is going to take the company back to the original name of Duck Boss Boats. I believe there are other molds out there of those boats it's always been confusing but the most accurate info I know is 4 Rivers will be producing these boats for order starting in January 2023. They developed a website which will show these boats off 4RiversDuckBoss.com
 
I love my Duck Invader 13. I put a hydraulic jack plate on, set up so full down is about 1 inch higher than it was.
I can motor around the marsh with the motor all the way up now, just love that!

Rich was awesome to deal with. He provided great customer service, and would answer my calls or texts after I got my boat with solid advice. Great guy.
Would be nice to see these boats to be continued to be made.
 
Well that's good news. I hope they keep the quality up.

The website is a wee bit lacking, 1 picture...nothing more. I'll have to check back in there next year and hope they update it with some boats.

With the four rivers also continue to produce the smaller vessels like the ebads in addition to the larger ones? I would be curious if they had a 17 or 18, like rich did, and what shape the bow would be. Curious to find out more when the website gets further along. Will check back in a month I guess
 
Yes they will be branching this to another division in the company still making the smaller boats / accessories. Duck Boss Boats will be available as mentioned above the 13 - 17- 19' hull models I believe
 
I own a DI13 and it is in fact bittersweet to see this. Rich was an absolute top notch individual to deal with. I will greatly miss chatting with him. I suppose the bright side is maybe potential buyers will see a quicker turnaround. I know in the last year or two there has been a surge in demand for the 13's and I believe the lead time was long. Once those boats started showing up at ramps, on social media, and word got out, Rich seemed like he couldn't build them fast enough. I was very fortunate to get in early on the demand. My plan is to keep the rig in the family for many generations to come.
 
Looks like a very smooth riding hull. Love that bow flair in such small hull. Should keep you pretty dry in a good chop.

I have the Duck Invader that looks identical, except mine has a blind. I am thoroughly pleased with it.
What is the current retail for the boat?
I couldn't find any pricing on the site.
 
Ok a little history lesson. I established Duck Boss Boats around 2007. I built a 10, 13, 15, and 17.5 ft. boats. I built all the molds myself. Six or seven years ago I sold the molds with the intent of getting out of building boats. The individual that i sold them to never really built any boats. My long time dealer Rich Young talked me into getting back into building boats. I bought back the 10ft. marsh boat molds and the 17ft. molds but not the 13 or 15. I redesigned the 13ft.boat and designed a 16ft. similar to my old 15. I produced these four models under the Duck Invader name until summer of 2022. I made the decision to sell all my duck boat molds at that time as I would be turning 70 in December 2022. Building boats by yourself is tough work made easier by Rich Young who sold 99 percent of the boats I made. The previous owner of Four Rivers Boats is a good friend of mine and I knew he sold his molds to Broc. I contacted Broc about buying my molds and the sale was completed fall 2022 . He decided he wanted to build them under the Duck Boss name and aquired the name . I wouldn't have sold the molds to him if I wasn't confident that they would build a quality product which i told him was very important. So that;s the deal. Again I want to thank Rich Young. Without him I would not have sold very many boats and thank you to those who purchased my boats. I hope everyone will give the new owners the support I was given. Thank You. Tom Ayers.

Thanks for the history!


I helped one of our members by customizing his Duck Invader a couple of Summers ago. I added some features to help him hunt on Long Island's South Shore.

Of course, I got to know the boat intimately - by crawling throughout as I went about my tasks. I was mightily impressed by the quality wherever I explored. I appreciate your design and workmanship - and also the contribution you have made to our grand pastime!

Good to hear about your confidence in the new owners commitment to continued quality Tom , I was worried about that. I will truly miss dealing with Rich Young when buying more boats. He was the most honest salesman I've ever dealt with.
