Where are the decoy fairies?

I have been kicking this around my shop since last Summer hoping that the fairies would see fit to finish the dang thing. But to no avail! I had a fit and finished it up so that I didn't have to do anything constructive today. It's a Crowell Redhead, solid White Cedar, acrylic paints. Please, no critiques, just warm and fuzzies........

Terry that bird is sweeeet. But it needs to see some freezing water and wind before it can move into the highest category. Hope you get a chance to hunt that. I like the flamed grain on that bird.

terry, if you were going for the antiquee look (which i'm sure you were), i'd like to see the head a bit darker. oh.. and ATTABOY, GREAT JOB, AWESOME DEKE :)

send those fairies my way.. i have no less than 13 cork/tupelo birds waiting on paint.

Yo Terry,
Looks to me like you (again) got the head color on the Goldeneye wrong again and you've forgotten the cheek patch. Outside of that, nice planter. Ya know, you could bore a hole in the back of that and put a small pot of African Violets in it or run a lamp rod down into the middle of it. That would make a great lamp.

You just make life to easy for me with this.
Ok, warm and fuzzy.....orange juice and peach schnaps...no ice. How's that?
Later partner, nice bird.
Lou
