While out scouting new spots ...found a flock of Turkey

While I was out triaining my dog this morning I was scouting some new spots for next season that hold waterfowl and upland game. I was working at one end of this large pond

Then decided to go to the other side cutting through some low brush to see what we would kick up
and came upon a nice flock of large Turkey.

I walked right up on them to within less than 30 yards before they knew I was there. By the time I stumbled to get the camera out they started to trot off. Boy I wish it were Turkey season today but if it was I'm sure I would not have been able to get this close. Also managed to see some Pheasant, Mallards and Canada Geese

that is an awesome experience. most hunters have time getting thirty yards from a turkey, in full camo, hiding by a tree. nice pics as well, that is a beautiful dog.
