Widgeon eye color?

I have always just painted the eyes on my decoys but want to do glass eyes on some widgeon that I am doing. The eye color chart on the the duck blind and van dykes say brown but which brown? Light, med, or dark? I was going to get med but then I started second guessing myself. Any input would be appreciated.

A medium brown is fine. Here is one I carved in '94 - for the last ever U S National.

On the other hand, for any of my brown-eyed gunners (most puddlers, Brant, Geese), I think Black looks great. I, too, get my eyes from Van Dyke's.
