I'm doing 10 high density cork wood ducks can you paint acrylic paint over val-oil sealer.

I have not used Val-Oil in many years - so have no informed opinion. If it cures hard and tack free, you'll probably be OK going right to acrylics. I usually base-coat with flat oils before my latex/acrylic topcoat.

Val-oil is no longer offered. Valspar does offer a clear exterior sealer, but I've not used it. The info below indicates it is a water-based product so I suspect it is nowhere near as good as the tried-and-true Val-oil. Call me crazy but I don't trust water-based sealers to seal against water.

Bill, if it is oil based, you may have problems with acrylics.. If you REALLY let it cure, it may be fine I have used water based urethane floor sealers with good rsults
