Your Favorite Decoy?

Does anyone else hoard pictures of their favorite decoys from auction sites and other carving sites? As the title states, post up a pic or two of your favorite decoys, and if known, the maker.

I could not tell you the maker but I really want to make this bird

Yes Rick Brown... Great carver here in NJ. If you like his work and like to Know more, here is his web site.

TOM, definitely rick's work....i have one of his blue wings and he makes a great bird.

i can't/won't jump in on this but i'll go out on a limb and say there won't be a decoy posted or a maker that i can't find something i like about it.

There are some unbelievable choices out there... I have thought about it for 2 days now and have been able to narrow it down to three... That's the best I can do!

Bob Furia's high headed Woodie

Jim Schmiedlin's Gadwall or Canada

I should add that the Wigeon in the background by Pat Gregory is the only decoy displayed in the "public" areas of our house. He sits on a shelf in a 150 year old secretary's desk in our dinning room. He is my favorite decoy I own...

hurricane's are at the top of my list as well. still cheap enough to collect...i just haven't pulled the trigger on any yet

Hording pics, not me. I just have a few hundred;0

I love the style of Pete Peterson's buffies.

Also, I's say anything by Jim Schmeidlin is tops in my book.

There are just too many to love...

Hank - I am so flattered. Hopefully, it gets off the shelf during hunting season.

He has floated in the Bering Sea and all over the MidWest, up next the Gulf of Mexico, then hopefully the Atlantic.

Ivy Stevens: One of the old Currituck carvers. I love the simplicity of the lines, especially the transition from the bill to the neck.
