It was an absolute blast. Wife loved the vacation part while I was in heaven being in the lobby by 5am for coffee and a long ride to the blind with like minded individuals.

Kyle, Heading north for sea ducks is definitely on the short list. I shot black scoters a few times and have been hooked every since.

I'd like to do the trip again. Tons of birds, liberal limits, lead 6's, and no plugs. The only bird I didnt get a crack at was a black belly.

Vince, I too have a CZ with a 4x on it. You nailed it, it's an absolute tack driver. I've shot plenty of greys and foxes... but have never seen a black squirrel while hunting. The day I do, it's going straight to the taxidermist, haha.

Back home, all my buddies apply for and go to ND for swans.. sports during HS and now the service (for the past 7 years) kept me from taking a swan. Bagged mine with a guide last year. This year well give it a few tries on public water before calling my buddy's guide friend in Washington county...

I'm very lucky indeed. Itll be even better when William's old enough to tag along on easy hunts. Jordan doesnt mind going - she likes shooting her camera more so than the plethora of shotguns in the safe. I usually have to bribe her with Dunkin but it's always a good time.

Hurricane Florence ended our real season just as it started last year. There was too much water. Thankfully Dorian didnt hammer the coast this year. My buddies seem to be doing well on the coast... they send me pictures to tease. Hopefully you get the rain you want!
