Finally go the Restles rehabbed.
2 coats of titebond 3 and sawdust. Behr ultra for the bodies per Mr Sanfords tutorial, my normal acrylics for the heads. Had to make a few new keels.
Are you always hunting from the boat in water shallow enough to wade?
Can you not pull the boat along as your pickup decoys?
I think the coated cable Texas rigs are less prone to tangles. I have the fixed weights on my walkin decoys.
I use the H weights for boat decoys, but they don’t provide...
I picked up some Restle blacks and 6 mag geese. Going to recoat the ducks but the geese are in great shape, not sure how much of the geese are original condition or not.
All the duck heads seem to be original condition so I think I’ll leave those as is. They also all had these popsicle sticks...
I have this decoy, which appears to be a Restle body, with some dents through the burlap and missing burlap.
What is the best/easiest way to repair this so I can put it back in service this season?
I don’t have any experience with burlap. The few foam decoys I have rehabbed were restle coated.
