I will post that up. Hoping to see everyone’s work. It’s fun to share. I’ve seen purple aluminum Mardi Gras coins but aluminum is too soft, it will split when I fold it. I’m going to turn a purple dyed wood burl call this month, it will be in the August workbench thread. I’m going to head...

Yes, indeed. It was the man himself, Seth Fields. I’ve got a surprise for ya. I had some of my double ditch bands anodized, and did purple 😁 For the coins, not sure, never explored it. I’m finishing up a Crazy Fiber Micarta call today that will have a Purple Double Ditch band. We are gonna need...

This was the last build of the month. African Blackwood with Copper Inlays. The copper half dollar coin that I folded into a band, with my custom patina, and a CA finish.

I finished a call from a customer supplied blank, a nice piece of dyed box elder burl, and folded a 60th Anniversary Ducks Unlimited Raffle Coin to make the band. African Blackwood Caps. Aluminum Inlays. Oil finish.

I just folded a copper half dollar and applied a custom patina. I hand polished the raised areas, and then sealed it with a jewelers sealer to keep the patina preserved the way it is. Tonight I will fit the coin band to an African Blackwood call with copper Inlays. Work in progress.

I just finished this one up. I built this one as a donation for a DU Banquet event. Hawaiian Koa, sleeved in African Blackwood with Aluminum Inlays, African Blackwood Caps and a Custom 60th Anniversary DU Raffle Coin band. Hope we can raise some funds for wetlands preservation.

I finished up a pair of matching woodie duck calls today. Wicked Purple Acrylic with Ivory Acrylic Caps. These are fun calls to run on woodies at first light.

I drill a centered hole in coins, and then press that hole inward using a cone. I haven’t tried to work with anything that isn’t round. At least not yet. The ideal diameter for a coin or token is the half dollar. It enables me to achieve the right size hole for a duck call band, and a nice band...

Holy Smokes. That’s crazy. I’ve done one 18k gold half dollar call band on a green dymondwood call that I did for another call maker, as a call maker trade call. Gold is tricky when it comes to annealing and folding, but I worked out a process and it came out great. We need to get in touch with...

This is a 1964 Half Dollar that I made for someone to use as a duck call band. 1964 was the last year they used a very high silver content, post 1964 are all clad coins. I apply a custom patina and then seal it so it’s preserved.

Thanks!! I do. I have about 60 orders on my books for custom call builds, but my books are open and I’m still taking orders. I’ve got lots of great material for folks to pic through. I send pics of blanks for folks to pick for their custom call builds. I also make woodie duck calls. One of the...

I wonder if they would consider it a live decoy if this thing was dragging back a crip that just couldn't fly.
