I have the LL Bean commando-type wool sweater and it will flat out bake me alive if I am too active while wearing it. I also have an older Cabela's sweater with a windproof lining. I don't think they make it any longer. It also works really well.

My friends and I used Super Magnum snow goose shells with the beaks painted black, such as those used in the field, as floaters by zip-tying a foam pool noodle along the inner perimeter of the shell. They work very well and are stackable, and kept in a large bag.
