Blizzard 2026 - How's things in your area?

We survived too. I got in the 16" range, difficult to measure with the blowing of the snow. Thankfully we didn't lose power, but I was prepared with the generator ready to "roll" out. I was able to snow blow the 200' driveway and make it to work by 10am, to then in turn sit around all day...

    Boat ride anyone?

Did you see the forecast @tod osier ? They are using the B word in the forecast for Sunday to Monday. WTNH 8 is throwing around Noreaster and Blizzard! So that means we will only get a dusting! 🤞

    Brant banding question

I want a brant band more that most, BUT I just shoot what comes in. Unfortunately none came this year. Seems is they developed a pattern in my area that doesn't include my hunting spots, the nerve! It's time to branch out to a new area.

    Brant banding question

Now that you are leaving CT, what is your secret brant spot,......so I can make sure no one is hunting there. 😂🤣

    End of year clean up

I took my blind off my Duck Invader yesterday, and was reminded that the topside is mostly a chalky white color that I wasn't able to remedy last summer. I tried multiple fiberglass cleaners, restorers, and compound without success. Sooo the plan is to spray the topside with "Duck Boss...

    Sportspal canoe

Is it a "square back"? I'm in CT and interested if it's in good condition! Thanks

    Duckboss 13

Interesting. I can't wait to see how it comes out. My rule for seat height when trying to keep low is that it can't be so low that I can't stand up quickly. For me this makes a comfortable height to sit without cramping up

Can you help me tune a long reed goose call?

Very interesting indeed! Good advice. Most all of the Canada geese I see at my regular spots are larger ones, but I know of smaller ones, probably lesser in some areas close by. I'll blow a higher pitched short reed when I see the little guys. Thanks

Can you help me tune a long reed goose call?

Thanks for all the help, looks like I'm on my way. @William Reinicke we don't see anything but Canada geese here, except for rare sightings, so I guess I'm good keeping mine deep. Very interesting fact that I was totally unaware of.

Can you help me tune a long reed goose call?

Yes, it's way past the end, almost an inch, but I think, don't know, but think that's how old school long reed calls are.

Can you help me tune a long reed goose call?

Just the normal set up that I'm used to seeing 👀 Maybe I have it set up good, it's just taking more back pressure than im used to
