    Nobel shotshells

Where did you order these from? $135/flat with free shipping is the best straight up price I know of right now. Winchester had some rebates that brought 3" steel down to $110/flat at Roger's, but I think that is done. Dunns has a $50/flat rebate on Federal blue box 3" steel right now with...

    Nobel shotshells

I bought 4 cases of the $78 and change cases of Rio's from Able Ammo years ago. I liked them so much I kept shooting Rio's when the price went up.

    Pouring Decoy Anchors

It is not purity. It has to do with casting the lead. I have used pure lead and once melted and poured the straps are brittle. I worked a lot with lead when I sold fishing tackle around the country. The casting process makes lead brittle. I do not know how they make lead strap weights or lead...

    Winter is here. Who’s hunting?

Yesterday 21⁰ high temperature, 16 mph nw wind. Birds decoyed very well right in front of an A frame in a field with nowhere to hide.

    Herter's Model Numbers (s) needed

I have only ever found a couple of goose decoys that will ride current well in shallow fast moving rivers and streams. Those plastic Herters decoys are one of the decoys that will. Where most decoys plow water, dig in and stand on their nose. Those decoys get up on plane. Wish I had a bunch of...

    Small spread make up.

Small spread for me might only be 3 decoys. If mallards are the target, often 2 drakes and a hen. Maybe one or two on a jerk cord if there is no wind. If I'm using a small spread, no spinner for me. 2 or 3 goose floaters have been good to me goose hunting.

    2 man pontoon boat

I'm pretty sure Mick Lacy and John Liston had a pontoon blind that was very low profile where they sat on the deck to hunt and had a box below the deck for their feet. A tall blind on a pontoon can be a big task for a trolling motor in the wind.

    North Dakota Trip

We were there at the same time then. We hunted the big blow with little to no scouting, but still killed some birds till things got to wild and we had to pack it in. The day after was a very good shoot for us as well. Looking forward to the next video.

    North Dakota Trip

Good video Craig. You guys must have been in ND a week before us. That pea field video is almost a carbon copy of our field hunts this year. Only it looks like you had better wind. We had almost a windless week except for the day it was 45-70 mph. 1000s of pintails we couldn't shoot. Trying to...

Advice on sneakbox - AA Broadbill or MLB Wigeon

The 2 big differences are going to be the hulls. The MLB is a displacement hull and they are little boats. The AA is a planing hull, will take a bigger motor and cover water much quicker. So of the MLB's had problems with hulls cracking or breaking. I think some broke just loading on the...
