I just want to thank everyone for thier input so far.
I am going to have 4 tabs per rib welded on to attach
the ribs to. This should eliminate any flex on the sides and bottom. Each rib will be
coated with epoxy before I install them.
There also have been some modifications, because...
Has anyone ever hunted Hereford Inlet, just north of Wildwood, NJ. The southern zone is
done tomorrow and I was looking for a place I know to hit coastal for the last few weeks.
I have been striper fishing there for years and don't know if its some bird sanctuary.
I have a 16ft v hull...

I actually bought the mold to make them at the Tuckerton Decoy ($25.00)show last year.
Went to the local tire shop and asked for the old wheel weights and melted them
down.
Let me know if you need a few I make about 50 at a time and have a some extras
sitting in the garage.
Someone gave me an old gal. alum jon boat the I am converting over
for duck hunting. I had to remove the ribs (they were snapped).
I am adding some knees to support the sides and floor and will
probably epoxy them in.
There are three stress fractures that I am having welded next weekend...
