Quill's turn

This past Monday was our northern opener here in Maine, so off we went on the Friday before up to camp in Rangeley. The foliage is starting to turn and the fall fishing season is still in full swing. We trolled in my old 58 Lone Star and found a few salmon that were willing to play. The birds flew enough to keep it interesting and on Tuesday, Quill got on the board with her first retrieve at one week shy of 9 months old. Pearl was present in spirit while her urn decoy floated amongst the spread. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Here is Quill the day I brought her home.

Troy,
Thanks for the wonderful cast and blast from Maine. I assume that you also sometimes combine grouse hunting with fall fishing.

It is a great time of the year for sure.
