I was an avid waterfowler for several years but a Naval career and the associated transfers put a damper on things. The other day one of my grandsons asked if I was interested in a Sandhill Crane hunt and that has rekindled the fire! I got rid of most of my stuff back in the early’90s but kept a few decoys and a call or two. Now that I’m retired I have time to hunt and hope to dive back in. I have wanted to build my own boat since hunting with a friend in his plywood boat. I have mostly small lakes and ponds in this area that were pretty productive for me years ago and I plan to start with those. Anyway, I’m looking forward to learning from you all and hopefully I can contribute something occasionally!
