NEW Flapper Boards for Duck Boss 13

We have designed new flapper boards for the DB13. Customers were requesting a way to make the cockpit gap not as open. So we added an angle at the top that you can fold your saw grass over and fill the seam. For those of you that don’t want it as in closed, simply don’t fold the grass over . We kept the angle small enough that it won’t interfere with you. I hope to have a video posted on this by the end of the year

Broc~

Nice feature! I also like your hinges - with the removable pins. I have done something similar on numerous vessels:

What is your source?

Thanks very much!

Broc,
You innovative dog you! Nice job as always looking good. I'd say offering these as sole accessories would be a great idea too as many would buy for other boats / current 4-rivers models too!

Saw a bunch of those hinges on discount at my marine store and KNEW they would work on a flapper board but didn't want to pull the trigger and hold on to them for 6 months only to find out they wouldn't

I'm considering flapper boards for my boat and am curious about why you want them removable? Richard

Richard, you can do a few things. You can do like Brock said and use the push button pins. I personally bolted mine on with SS bolts, a washer on each end, and a nylock SS nut. I use bungee cord run from the end of each flapper to a small hook on the underside of my rub rail. I trailer with them on the boat. It just got to be too much of a pain putting flaps on at 5am in the dark, when it's 20 degrees, and no gloves.

@Craig F showed me this method of securing the flappers.
